Resta in Pace, Marco Simoncelli

This Sunday was a really gloomy sunday in sport’s world. The italian pilot of Moto GP, Marco Simoncelli (24 years old), died in the race of Sepang where he once was the champion of the world of the   250 cc category. It’s a pity… things like this shouldn’t happen in sports, but unfortunately, they do happen… and maybe too often. Not long ago, the Japanese pilot  Tomizawa of moto 2 perished as well.

Moment of crash

The accident was critical and weighty. Marco was ran over by Valentino Rossi and another pilot who, regrettably, couldn’t evade him. His protector helmet blew to bits when he got hit by them. During 45 minutes , medical assistants of the race tried, to no vail, to revive him. Nothing could be done, his injuries were critical (head, neck and chest were highly damaged)

Moto GP fans will always remember him as an aggressive pilot who gave everything in every race, fighting to the end.

Resta in pace, Marco 😦

  2. Oh wow, that is so sad to hear. A driver from the indie circuit also died as well. These sports can be dangerous but I think when you’re doing something you love, you take the risk. May he rest in peace.

Yeah, it is. Even if I was not a huge fan of Marco, I still appreciated him as a professional pilot in this sport. He knew he was taking that risk, so they know all the pilots…that’s why they are payed so much money 😛

    Thanks for stopping by, kay

  4. It’s always sad to hear, even if you know it’s a part of the sport!

    Thanks my friend 🙂

It’s very shatterer when hearing about that in all of a sudden…he was just 24 years old, with his whole life ahead of him…such a pity :/

    Thanks for commenting my friend!!

And there was another one from Formula 1 races who also died from a fatal crash recently (forgot the name though). Too bad. May they rest in peace.
